From the PostBus stop Ftan, cumün, you pass through the village to the adjacent village area of Ftan Pitschen. At the eastern end of the village, the groomed winter hiking trail then leads further east along the snow-covered, open southern slope. Here you can enjoy extensive views of the Lower Engadine Dolomites and the Tarasp Castle, proudly enthroned on the castle hill, on the other side. After crossing Val Corgnanca, the path follows the edge of a small forest (attention: game reserve – please do not leave the paths) with views of the Inn and the snow-covered mountains. Up to here the path is mostly flat, with short steeper passages in certain places, before you ascend the path shortly before Scuol. Before crossing the ski slope, you can either take the shortcut on a narrower path directly to the valley station of the Motta Naluns cable car and the Scuol-Tarasp station, or choose the less steep option to the old Scuol village part "Vi".
