One of them is definitely the Stelvio Pass (Italian: Passo Stelvio). But instead of just cranking up and letting your gaze roam over the glacier fields of the Ortler, this tour continues over the equally legendary Umbrail Pass into Switzerland.
From Platzl in Prad always take the main road to the pass, which is 48 numbered hairpin bends and 25 km. At the junction after 3 km, turn right to the Umbrailpass and continue to Santa Maria in the Münstertal. Pass through Taufers and continue on the partly newly asphalted road along the Rambach. From the SS 40, before the town gate of Glurns, turn right onto the provincial road SP 50 and then back to Prad.
