Long distance mountain bike route in six stages from Füssen to Riva del Garda. Riding technique moderate, riders should have good physical condition,

On this alpine crossing from Füssen to Lake Garda we ride a long way on the old Roman road Via Claudia Augusta. We reach Austria over the Fernpass, conquer the Reschenpass, cycle through the Vinschgau Valley and reach the Etsch Valley over the Gampen Pass. We cycle through the wine growing areas of South Tyrol and reach Lake Garda via the Brenta Group to Riva. On the tour we get flowing trails, cart tracks, fine gravel and wonderful pass roads under the tires - in other words, everything a keen mountain biker desires. The route is well-balanced but demanding in terms of riding technique and leads us over the main ridge of the Alps to Lake Garda, the most popular destination for crossing the Alps by bike.
