The Eight Summit March
Vinschgau. 1 day, 8 summits, 3,300 metres in altitude. The challenge for mountain enthusiasts is tempting.
This high alpine extreme tour starts in Glurns. The march over eight peaks now takes place every two years, this time for the 22st time. A challenge in a class of its own. After the participants have registered at the town square of Glurns, they start from there past the parish church of St. Pancras in the direction of the little church of St. Martin. The trail immediately climbs steeply to the Glurnser Alm and on to the Glurnser Köpfl (2,395 m). Via the Plaschweller to Piz Chavalatsch (2,764 m) you follow the mountain ridge to Piz Silva (2,855 m), followed by Minschuns-Schafberg (2,935 m) and Furkelspitze (3,044 m). Continue to the large Tartscher Kopf (2918 m), via the Korspitze (2932 m) and finally to the Rötelspitze (3026 m). From here you finally reach the Stilfser Joch, the end point of the madness tour.
