Turn-by-turn directions

Postbus no. 921 leaves directly in front of the Hotel Belvédère in the direction of Samnaun. In Ramosch, change to the small post bus that goes up to Vnà. From the terminus at Vnà, Jalmer, continue on foot. At a leisurely pace, with a slight incline, the path leads you deeper and deeper into the wild and romantic Val Sinestra. You come to a crossroads where you have the option of either walking down to the Zuort farm or continuing slightly upwards following the signpost to the Heidelberger Hut. Both options take about the same amount of time. Would you like to enjoy a coffee at Hof Zuort before the gradient gradually increases? Then it is of course worth taking this route. There is also an alpine restaurant on the other path, but it is not always open. Or you can continue on to Griosch (about 15 minutes from the Zuort farm), where you will find a very authentic little alp restaurant that offers products from the region and the alp. Here, however, you can only sit outside - so in bad or cold weather it is more advisable to plan a stop at Hof Zuort. From then on, there are no more opportunities to stop for refreshments until you reach the Heidelbergerhütte. From Griosch, the trail leads deeper and deeper into the beautiful, remote mountain landscape. You hike through lush green meadows while listening to the murmur of the wild brooks: pure nature, here you can switch off. Then follows the ascent of about 1.5 hours to the Fimber Pass. At the top of the pass you are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Fimba Valley. The path formed by the water winds down through the mountain meadows to the Heidelbergerhütte. Not much further and you will reach the hut, wonderfully nestled in the alpine landscape, far away from civilisation.
