Silvrettahütte - Signalhorn - Verstanclator - Monbiel
The ski alpine route on the Signalhorn, with an ascent of 1000 m, a descent of almost 2000 m and a total distance of 22.5 km, is one of the more strenuous tour destinations. Above all, the descent over the Verstanclator all the way to Monbiel requires pushing sections and finally skating on the cross-country ski trail to Monbiel. The descent from the Verstanclator down to the valley floor near Alp Sardasca is a true descent dream. You cannot climb the summit of the Signalhorn on skis. You make the ski depot at the beginning of the southwest ridge and then climb up to the summit ridge with crampons and ice ax (easy climbing areas UIAA I-II and partly exposed terrain). The round tour offers a lot of variety, a great panorama, downhill fun and a really great alternative to the descent via the hut access via Galtürtälli.
