The Lamprecht family lives in the UNESCO Biosfera Val Müstair Parc Naziunal. Rico and Vreni live on the organic farm Pütschai Josom at 1521 m above sea level. Her son Reto and Carmen with their children Julia, Sofia, Niculin and the twins Nino and Jon live further up on the organic farm in Craistas at 1875 meters above sea level. Together they run the suckler cow farm in a community of generations. On the Pütschai Josom organic farm, which the Lamprecht family was able to lease in 2003 and bought in 2009, they keep a few cattle, goats, rabbits and chickens in addition to the herd of suckler cows.

The associated house is up to 900 years old according to the preservation order and was renovated in 1978 by the old owner and in 2009/10 by Lamprechts. However, the old character and soul of the farmhouse have always been preserved. The historic house has been available to our guests for farm holidays since 2010.

The second organic farm is in Craistas and has been run by the Lamprechts for four generations. Until 1990, this was a dairy farm with calf fattening and original Braunvieh breeding, after which Rico took the plunge and converted the farm to suckler cow husbandry and organic farming. Today, all Limousin animals are sold directly by the family and none of the animals end up in the wholesale trade.

The cows and their calves spend the summer on our own Alp Tabladatsch, where they enjoy the juicy alpine herbs and the beautiful view over the valley. In winter, they are in the stable with permanent access to the outside and are only fed with the company's own organic hay and silage.

If you want to learn more about the Lamprecht family and the farm, stop by, enjoy a few days in the beautiful UNESCO Biosphere Val Müstair and immerse yourself in the Pütschai Josom experience.

The motto of the family is: come as a guest and leave as a friend.

How to find us
From Switzerland, the Munster Valley is accessed by a single road; it leads from Zernez right through the Swiss National Park over the Ofen Pass (Pass dal Fuorn). From Italy you can reach the valley via Meran and the Vinschgau, from the Munich area via the Reschenpass. When driving from the lowlands, the next connection is the road over the Flüela Pass. Since the winter of 1999, the Vereina Tunnel from Klosters to Lavin has provided better connections to the Munster Valley.

The valley can be reached from Zurich in around three hours by car.

(From the Ofen Pass) You drive to Sta. Maria. In Sta. Maria at the narrowest point of the road (at the Hotel Piz Umbrail) turn left and first follow a composite stone road, which then changes back to asphalt. When leaving the village, just follow the mountain road. Keep left at the first junction. Three switchbacks follow. After the third, a dirt road leads to our farm on the right. From Sta. Maria is about 2.3 km to the finish.

In summer, the adventurous Umbrail Pass on the Stelvio Pass opens up another route to the south. In winter, however, this road is always closed.

The farm Pütschai Josom belongs to Sta. Maria Val Mustair.
