Die hintere Jamspitze stellt sicherlich einen der Gletschertouren Highlights von der Jamtalhütte aus dar. Aufgrund des relativ sanften Anstiegs und des spaltenarmen Gletschers ist diese Tour auch durchaus für einen größeren Personenkreis geeignet. Die Gesamtlänge der Tour ist jedoch nicht zu unterschätzen. Besonders eindrucksvoll ist die wunderschöne Aussicht auf den Jamtalferner fast während der gesamten Tour.
